Teen Designer Toiletries Bag

A couple of years ago, I had an idea while watching my eldest daughter, Agatha, create a new design on Procreate. I realised that Agatha’s drawings, along with hundreds of others on her iPad, would never see the light of day.

After releasing my BU Teen skincare range, I wanted a toiletries bag to house Agatha’s BU Teen Starter Kit so she wouldn’t lose it. I decided that young people like Agatha should have the opportunity to share their designs in the retail space. Furthermore, I wanted a portion of each sale to go to a youth charity of the designer’s choosing, to help other young people realise their dreams.

I discussed my idea with Agatha, and she was excited. I asked her to be my first Teen Designer, gave her the brand colours for my BU Teen range, and she got to work. The design she created was beautiful.

And so, the TEEN DESIGNER TOILETRIES BAG was born.

Three times a year, we update and refresh the season with a brand new design. We invite entries from young people who would love to see their design available in our bricks and mortar store, on our online store, and at all speaking events I attend. We choose one lucky Teen Designer to showcase their incredible work and see us through another four months.

And because we are creative people who understand the worth of our fellow artists, our Teen Designer will receive payment for each item sold.

Initially, the Teen Designer Toiletries Bag was meant to be sold in conjunction with the BU Teen Starter Kit. However, when other customers requested to purchase the bag, we realised it needed to be made available for everyone to buy, either in conjunction with any of our skincare products or simply by itself.

The charity Agatha has chosen for her design run is Variety – the children’s charity. https://www.variety.org.au/qld/

*Cost – $15 which goes entirely to the charity and to our Teen Designer
